We fell in love with bagels whilst honeymooning in Los Angeles. When we settled in Leeds, the natural choice was to open a bagel bar, which was one of the first in the UK.

We opened our first store in Moortown in the wonderful city of Leeds in January 1987 initially buying bagels from a local Jewish Baker. The long queues forming outside the small store was an indication that customers loved our concept and foods and from there, we never looked back.

We soon started baking our own bagels and offered them to local coffee shops and restaurants. Then, as now, we were the only dedicated Bagel producer in the North of England. With a growing demand for our Bagels, we started selling them to multiple retailers and frozen food distributors around the country.

Before we could say Cream Cheese, we found ourselves to be one of the fastest growing bagel producers in Europe and we now export our bagels to over 20 countries worldwide.  In 2003, we took the decision to expand our retail operations, opening two more stores in Leeds followed by another four stores in 2006 and our first franchised branch in London.
